Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel

My husband and I went to Anaheim the other weekend for our 10th anniversary and I managed to come across a CVS! To American's, it must sound silly that I was so excited about it because the prices and selection are fantastic.

Anyway, I came across a sale on Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamels, buy 1 get 1 50% off.  I believe that their regular price was the same price in Canada, but we almost never see these kinds of sales. I decided to give Stiletto (black) and Sequin (silver foil) a go. I didn't buy the base coat and top coat because I found the polishes to be overpriced in general so I didn't want to spend more on them. Maybe it would have made a bigger difference if I did though. The enamels are supposed to be a gel hybrid that use regular light to cure, which means that you do not need a UV lamp to set it.

This is day one, it's my Steampunk Nail Tutorial

Stiletto had a very glossy finish and was almost a one coat polish. The consistency was perfect as well. Sequin was a little more goopy, but it was like a typical foil polish.

It is supposed to be a 11 day manicure, maybe it was less because I didn't have the proper base coat and top coat? It started chipping after 4 days on my right hand, which isn't bad for my nails (I'm a bit of a brute). This is day 8 and I am dying to change my manicure!!

Anyway, I'm off to paint my nails...
